In comparison to the ’74 Steelers class, the Jaguars have two receivers in Hurns and Robinson like Swann and Stallworth. In addition, they have a linebacker in Telvin Smith like Jack Lambert of the Black and Gold. Finally, Mike Webster and Brandon Linder are both offensive lineman. The wildcards that could propel them would be Blake Bortles and Aaron Colvin.
The players mentioned for the Jaguars will be the core going forward and should be instrumental in getting the Jaguars back to the playoffs and being respected league wide.
Though this draft class has a lot of Pro Bowls, Super Bowls, and Hall of Famers to go before they are worthy of being compared to the great Steelers draft of 1974, perhaps they are on their way!
