The Sons of Anarchy

Every New York Jets’ fan knows exactly the group I am talking about. The Jets boast the number four defense in the NFL, and the number one defense against the run. Despite the rough outing against the Buffalo Bills, they are still only allowing 88.1 yards per game on the ground. The aforementioned group deserves much of the credit. The “Sons”, Muhammad Wilkerson, Sheldon Richardson, and Damon Harrison, were a stout group against the run prior to the arrival of Todd Bowles. Now, plus the addition of their friend Leonard Williams, they have taken it to the next level.

Some have made mention that the pass rush isn’t what it was expected to be. This is true, but they haven’t been terrible either. Wilkerson leads the way with seven sacks, Richardson has added two since returning from injury, and Harrison and Williams each have .5 each. They are a talented and versatile bunch, that will stop at nothing to keep the Jets in the hunt until the very end.
