San Francisco 49ers at Soldier Field

No one expected after a dramatic win against the San Diego Chargers, the St. Louis Rams and the Green Bay Packers that the Bears would find their rhythm. The Bears will play the San Francisco 49ers at Soldier Field in Week 13. In 2014, the Bears defeated the 49ers at Levi Stadium 28-20 and look to do it again with a win at home. Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio will face his former team and will need to command a rising defense. With quarterback Colin Kaepernick out, the Bears defense will face current starter, backup. The Bears will take advantage of Gabbert’s tendencies to throw interceptions when pressured. Defensive tackle Pernell McPhee leads the team with 26 hurries.

The Bears will need to run the ball heavily against a weak 49ers run defense. The 49ers defense is ranked 25th in rushing yards and 28th in passing yards allowed. Between running backs Matt Forte and Jeremy Langford they can control the run game. They will also need to utilize their tight ends up the middle for big plays. The Bears have won only one game at home this season and desperately need a win at home to keep the dream alive.

Predicted Winner: Bears
