Guard: Mike Harris

The Minnesota Vikings had a lot of issues along the offensive line in 2015, but Harris was not one of them. The little-known guard stepped up in a time of need and filled in admirably, quickly becoming one of Minnesota’s most consistent offensive linemen. Now scheduled for free agency, he’ll have an opportunity to cash in on his admirable 2015 showing.

The Raiders would be happy to be the team to reward him for his efforts. While he may not be the big-name free agent most fans are hoping to see sign, Harris has proven that he can be a reliable blocker in the NFL–shouldn’t that be the most important criteria? Not only did he prove in 2015 that he’s more than capable of handling pass and run blocking duties at the guard position, but he’d come at a relatively reasonable price after making only $1.5 million last year.

And seeing as the Raiders are expected to have almost $72 million in cap space this offseason, I don’t foresee convincing Harris to come to sunny California as too tedious of a chore.
