Green Bay Packers: Latest Buzz at Training Camp

Faster Lacy
After a disappointing 2015 for Lacy, he has been focused this offseason on losing weight to become faster. In the first game of the preseason against the Cleveland Browns, we got to see the new and improved Lacy in action.
In the 17-11 win, Lacy totaled 24 rushing yards on four carries. While the sample size is extremely small, it was noticeable that Lacy looked much quicker. On his 11-yard run in the game, Lacy felt good about his speed.
“I felt good,” Lacy said to Rob Demovosky of ESPN.com. “I made the cut and was able to get back north and south fast to break the linebacker’s tackle and just make the most of that opportunity. I’m just looking forward to keep doing that, and that’s what the coaches expect.”
Against the Oakland Raiders in Week 2, Lacy will look to continue on building that confidence back up. Lacy is only entering his fourth season in the NFL, as his bad year, last season can be easily forgotten. He has worked hard this offseason to be in better shape, and hopefully, the hard work pays off on the field.
