The Countdown to Kickoff Series continues, as today we highlight the sensational Odell Beckham Jr. Entering his third season in the NFL, is there reason to believe OBJ will continue to improve?

At this point, everyone who follows the NFL knows about Odell Beckham Jr. How could you not? Since entering the league, Beckham has set the entire NFL on fire.

No player has had more receiving yards or receptions than Beckham.

More from New York Giants

He’s lined up the league’s finest cornerbacks, and he’s knocked them all down. So far, his career has had some incredible highs, as well as some noteworthy lows.

Yes, Beckham overreacted during last year’s game against the Panthers. His antics hurt his team, and it made it easy for haters to cast Beckham as a jerk. However, just like Beckham is more than “one catch,” he’s also more than “one setback.”

Any way you choose to slice it, there’s no denying Beckham is one of the league’s top-flight receivers.

There’s really nothing Beckham can’t do.

First off, few players shine off the field as much as Beckham does. He’s in commercials, dancing in clubs and just owning it during the offseason.

And despite what some retired NBA legends may think, Beckham’s fame is not too great.

He can run any route on the proverbial route-tree. Beckham has tremendous speed, acceleration and quickness. The ex-LSU Tiger plays with an intense fire that is hard to match. And of course, Beckham possesses some of the greatest hands the game has ever seen.

You’d be hard-pressed to find me a player who plays a more integral role on their team than Beckham does. Simply out, the offense flows through No. 13. Last year’s game against Minnesota provided Giants fans a harsh reminder of life sans Beckham.

Honestly, I feel like everything I say about Beckham it this point is kind of redundant. It’s the usualy story with OBJ, and you can expect him to catch 85+ balls for 1,100+ yards and 8+ touchdowns. Beckham has succeeded in making that his lofty standard.

Things will be slightly different this year, though. This marks the first year Beckham will be lining up with a true No. 2 threat. The Giants drafted Sterling Shepard in the second round of the NFL Draft, surely thinking of their superstar wide receiver.

So what does that mean for Beckham? Well, it means less attention thrown his way. That also translates to more one-on-one opportunities for OBJ, or more chances for Shepard. Either way, the Giants will benefit.

I’m personally excited to see what OBJ will do with more options on the offense. Aside from that, I’m also excited to see just how many new dance moves fans will see this year.
