For the upcoming fantasy football season, owners should consider Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Floyd as an impact player ready to make some noise in 2016.

As the fantasy football season is almost upon us, owners everywhere are hammering out their draft boards ready to make their selections. It’s not easy to finalize a lineup worthy of winning it all, but for some owners, it’s become a habit. It’s not only the skill needed to find hidden sleepers but working the waiver wire consistently to keep those fantasy points flowing.

When it comes to the fantasy value of wide receiver Michael Floyd, it’s through the roof. Last year, the Arizona Cardinals were one of the most efficient offenses in the NFL. Led by quarterback Carson Palmer, the overall offense of the Cardinals totaled 4,775 passing yards, 35 touchdowns, and 353 receptions.

Last season with the Cardinals, Floyd totaled 849 receiving yards, 52 receptions and tied for a career-high six touchdowns. Floyd would have had bigger numbers if he didn’t miss several games due to a severe hand injury.

With the efficiency of the Cardinals’ offense, Palmer knows how to get the most out of his wide receiving corps. Over the past few years he’s been distributing it well, but this upcoming season, expect to see Floyd get a bit more than usual.

Since all eyes will be on his partner in crime wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, Floyd will be able to cause some serious damage and take the top off of defenses.

Entering his fifth year in the NFL, Floyd is healthy and ready to make some major noise in 2016.

Considering that he’s an unrestricted free agent in 2017, expect to see Floyd put up his best season yet.

Any time a player is entering the last year of his contract, they tend to put up quite the season to either earn a bigger one with their team or audition for potential new ones via free agency.

Floyd excels in yards per catch as his career average so far is15.8 which means a steady amount of fantasy points on a consistent basis. Expect to see him keep those chains moving and haul in plenty of touchdowns.

The Cardinals are a team built to win now as they almost went the distance last year. Their tough NFC Championship loss to the Carolina Panthers still stings and will serve as motivation all season long.

One better believe Floyd has much to play for besides just his next contract. He’s determined to do whatever it takes to turn the Cardinals’ offense into an even more efficient unit in order to take it all the way to a Super Bowl appearance.

The Cardinals have yet to win a championship after the merger as they have all the chips on the table to get the job done. Head coach Bruce Arians will undoubtedly have his team ready for the long season ahead but once Floyd starts to get red hot, will use him in various different ways on offense to maximize his impact.

Fantasy Football: Stay away from Kirk Cousins

Overall, if Floyd can be healthy all season long, expect a breakout season, much to the delight of fantasy owners everywhere. While most owners will jump at the notion of drafting Fitzgerald before him, Floyd will have the better season. Possibly his best one yet.
