Philadelphia Eagles vs. Seattle Seahawks

In NFL Week 11, we have a great NFC matchup as the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Seattle Seahawks. CenturyLink Field should be rocking for this big matchup. Philadelphia comes into the game off of an impressive Week 10 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Their defense can take most of the credit, as they played well and stepped up when the Eagles needed them most. However, their offense showed some life as they ran for 207 yards and two scores.

Having a rushing attack is going to be important again this week because rookie quarterback Carson Wentz hasn’t had much help in the passing game. Wentz will face the Seattle secondary that features All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman, All-Pro safety Earl Thomas, and Pro Bowl safety Kam Chancellor.

Seattle is still riding the high of knocking off the New England Patriots last week and their quarterback Russell Wilson will be looking to build off of his big game against them. Wilson threw three touchdowns in the game and the Eagles cornerbacks are a great matchup for any opposing quarterback.

Eagles Keys To Victory

Attack Russell Wilson: Seattle has struggled on offense this season and that has started with their offensive line. They have been awful and that has led to Wilson playing poorly. The Eagles need to attack Wilson and make sure he doesn’t feel comfortable the entire day.

Control the Ball: Their formula to success last week was running the football and dominating the time of possession battle. They need to have the same mindset in Week 11. Seattle’s stadium and their fans are arguably the loudest in the league, so having them sit and be bored watching the game could be a big advantage.

Have a Wide Receiver Emerge: Jordan Matthews may be having a solid statistical season, but the wide receiver hasn’t been great. Philly needs one of their wide receivers to step up against this dominant secondary and make a play. Even though he has played poorly too, look for Dorial Green-Beckham to have a breakout game because of his size and ability.

Seahawks Keys To Victory

Stop the Run: Philly is going to try and control the clock and pound the football down the Seahawks’ throats. Seattle needs to stop the run and, if they do, this game could get ugly.

Get C.J. Prosise the Ball: If you have watched the Eagles in 2016, you have seen pass-catching running backs do well against them. Seattle has a young emerging player in their backfield that can catch passes well. They need to target him often and get the ball in his hands.

Protect Russell Wilson: Seattle isn’t the only team in this game that has a defense that wins them football games. Philly has one of the best defenses in the league because their defensive line is elite. Seattle needs to protect Wilson and not let the Eagles’ big fellas on defense make plays.

Prediction

Philly had a big win last week, but the Seahawks defense may be too much for the rookie quarterback with minimal weapons in the passing game. Seattle’s offense will do just enough for the Seahawks to win and they will walk away 7-2-1.
