Fantasy Football 2017: Jameis Winston Set For Best Season Yet
Make no mistake about it, quarterback Jameis Winston of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is set to have his best fantasy football season yet.
Jameis Winston had a very productive fantasy football season in his second year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In 2016, Winston totaled 4,090 passing yards on 345 completions with 28 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions. Fantasy owners enjoyed everything he brought to the table since he was consistent for the most part all season long.
As a quality QB2 last season, Winston now heads into a very important year in his career. It’s no secret that when a player of his caliber hits their third year in the NFL, it’s usually when everything comes together. Playbooks become a second language, executing assignments are easier, and as a quarterback, it’s also the time where a franchise has all the pieces around him needed to really put a player in a position to thrive.
This offseason, the Buccaneers did just that as they landed one of the top free agent wide receivers available in DeSean Jackson.

It’s amazing that ,even after close to a decade of playing in the league, Jackson continues to be a consistent speedy threat that keeps those chains moving. Last season with the Washington Redskins, Jackson totaled 1,005 receiving yards on 56 receptions and four touchdowns.
Most impressive of all was Jackson’s 17.9 yards per reception, which one can only imagine how much more he can contribute with Winston now throwing to him. Jackson is all about making big plays. With this addition, the Buccaneers are a team on the rise with an offense that can now spread things out even better with such a versatile offensive threat.
Expect to see Jackson start things out with a bang on his new team. Fantasy owners should have high expectations for Winston this upcoming season since the potential is there to have his best season yet. The Buccaneers offense just got a whole lot stronger.
