Weeks 6-9

Week 6: vs. Miami Dolphins
Week 7: at New England Patriots
Week 8: at New York Jets
Week 9: at Carolina Panthers

More from NFL Spin Zone

The Atlanta Falcons will have an early bye week this upcoming season. Coming out of the Week 5 off, the Falcons have a favorable matchup against the Miami Dolphins that should help them stay afloat and avoid any post-bye week blues.

That all sets the stage for the Week 7 rematch against the reigning Super Bowl champions in Foxborough. At this point, there’s no need to re-hash what happened in Houston during the Super Bowl. Just know that Atlanta will be out for revenge and redemption in this game as this clash will be one of the most anticipated of the season.

Rising up to beat the Patriots will be a daunting task for the Falcons, but doing the same to beat the Jets should be easier. It’ll be like a rest stop along their road to Charlotte and allow them to refuel before their first division matchup of the season as they face the Carolina Panthers in Week 9. Carolina had a letdown of a 2016, but they have the talent to rebound, so this matchup surely won’t be a breeze.
