Taking a look at when all 32 NFL teams will have to make the all important roster cuts for the 2017 season and what is at stake with that.

The NFL offseason and then the preseason is one of the most intriguing times of the year. Admittedly, it’s tough for fans when there’s no football being played. But when you really get down to it, sometimes there are things that can be just as fun involved in the offseason. One such thing is roster moves.

When it comes to making roster moves in the NFL, the offseason and preseason are full of different types of moves. Early on, you have free agency with players making big decisions about their new homes.

That’s where we see guys like Stephon Gilmore defect in the AFC East to the New England Patriots. Or where we see someone like Calais Campbell cash in one last time with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Next up in terms of roster moves comes the NFL Draft. Not only is there a new crop of players selected over the course of three days, but there’s also undrafted free agency after that. This is really where every team’s roster starts to baloon.

Then comes training camp and the preseason, though. This is a fascinating time of year in this regard because two big things happen. For one, teams make signings and moves in regards to injuries that happen. Someone key goes down, his spot has to be filled. But then there is also the all important roster cuts.

In years past, the NFL has had several dates for rosters to be cut down leading up to the regular season. That’s no longer the case. Now it is just one massive cut when the teams must all have their roster trimmed to 53 men. So then, when is the date that all NFL rosters must be cut to the 53-man final version?
