Evan Engram

Evan Engram has been the ideal rookie since the first day he donned Big Blue. He is young, he is eager to play, he studies hard and he makes his presence known. Engram has impressed just about everybody thus far. From Day 1, the Giants had planned to maximize him in just about every way they can in offensive packages because it is pretty clear to see that they drafted one heck of a talented player.

His latest challenge? Improving his blocking. McAdoo said it best when describing the role of tight end (per the NY Daily News):

"“It’s one of the most challenging positions on the team to play and learn,” McAdoo said. “We throw a lot at him: to have to play fullback, line tight-in from a wing-type position, in the slot and number one receiver, as well as special teams. … We feel he can handle it.”"

Engram has the speed, the hands and the speed to leave defenders in the dust. Yet if Engram masters the art of blocking, it would not shock me if the Giants had him on the field for almost every play; either hooking up with Eli Manning down the field or helping protect his blindside. Trust me Giants fans, you will see a lot more of the rookie.
