The Miami Dolphins take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, Aug. 24 in the 2017 NFL preseason. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
It’s dress rehearsal week as the NFL Preseason Week 3 is usually the game in which coaches send their best players out to see what their “real team” will look like. Starters usually get more snaps than the usual one-to-two drives, but that doesn’t mean the younger guys won’t get their moments as well. With just two games left to make the final roster, their time is now to make an impact.
For the Miami Dolphins who makes the final cut isn’t as big of a deal as seeing how the signal-caller looks. After Ryan Tannehill went down with a knee injury, they needed a new starting quarterback. Jay Cutler answered that call, and after a so-so debut last week, all eyes will be on him now to see if his rapport with teammates has improved.
As for the Philadelphia Eagles, they want to see their starting quarterback, Carson Wentz, and number one wide out, Alshon Jeffery simply stay healthy. Wentz has looked to be in full control of this offense so far and his connection with Jeffery looks to be good enough that they won’t have to get crazy this week.

One guy who could use a strong performance though would be running back LeGarrette Blount. He’s projected to be their starter, but has been lackluster out of the backfield so far. Maybe he will benefit the fact that this game typically looks more like a regular season showdown than any other preseason game and rise to the occasion with a good game.
