Panthers vs Jaguars live stream: Watch NFL Preseason online
By Randy Gurzi
The Carolina Panthers take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday, Aug. 24 in the 2017 NFL preseason. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Quarterback issues are the theme of the night as the Carolina Panthers head on the road to face the Jacksonville Jaguars. Of course, one team’s issues can be fixed with time, whereas the other’s may not be fixable at all.
Carolina has been rolling with Derek Anderson at the helm as Cam Newton recovers from offseason shoulder surgery. The team believes he will be fine and it looks like he may start this game even. If so that would be huge for him to be able to knock the rust off as he looks to rebound from a difficult 2016 campaign.
In Jacksonville, things are much worse. 2014 first round pick Blake Bortles has completely fallen off. He’s gone from a talented prospect to a player who can’t hit open receivers. His mechanics are a mess and his confidence is shot.

It’s so bad that the team has reverted to giving first team quarterback snaps to Chad Henne. It looks now like he will be the guy and Bortles is a lost hope. Maybe the demotion — or even the threat of one — can get his head turned around.
