The San Francisco 49ers take on the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday, Aug. 27 in the 2017 NFL preseason. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The Kyle Shanahan era keeps rolling for the San Francisco 49ers as the rookie head coach guides his squad to Minneapolis to play against the Minnesota Vikings in NFL Preseason Week 3. Shanahan has a big task ahead of him as he’s trying to fix a terrible roster along with the help of first-year general manager John Lynch.

Their first task was to find a quarterback, and they settled with Brian Hoyer — who so far hasn’t inspired a lot of confidence. His play has been erratic at best, and there’s nothing in his journeyman history to suggest that will change anytime soon. The good news for them is rookie third-round pick C.J. Beathard has been a bright spot for them and has some potential.

For Minnesota, they’re trying to erase the bad taste of a 2016 season that went down the toilet fast. They were one of the last remaining teams with an unblemished record. After a 5-0 start they dropped four-straight and eight of the last 11. They finished with a record of 8-8, and need to see some big improvements on offense to avoid a similar fate in 2017.
