The New York Giants take on the New England Patriots on Thursday, Aug. 31 in the 2017 NFL preseason. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
It’s a rematch of Super Bowl XLII ad XLVI. Each of those games ended with the New York Giants defeating the heavily-favored New England Patriots. Of course, NFL Preseason Week 4 won’t have the same feel to it as either of those games, but the history always makes an interesting storyline.
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady just led the team to their fifth Super Bowl win in his tenure this February, and will sit back and watch in this one as Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brissett will take the snaps under center.
There aren’t a lot of spaces up for grabs though as the Pats are pretty set with who they want to go with. They may be looking for someone to step up though as a slot receiver following the loss of Julian Edelman to a knee injury.

The Giants still have some spots to decide on. They may not be set at running back as Paul Perkins has yet to impress, so maybe rookie Wayne Gallman will get a shot at unseating him. There’s also the competition brewing between rookie Davis Webb and Geno Smith for the backup spot behind Eli Manning at quarterback.
