Week 1 of the 2017 NFL season is here, and we’ve got all of the DFS advice and DraftKings and FanDuel picks that you could ask for.

The wait is finally over! NFL season has arrived and that means it’s time to get our Week 1 fantasy football DFS lineups in. Whether you are a beginner or experienced daily fantasy football player, we have you covered with weekly DraftKings and FanDuel advice every single week.

I will be highlighting the best “Starts of the Week”, “Value Picks of the Week”, and “Deep Sleepers” to target at every position. This content is based on extensive research, weekly matchups, player situation, and of course sometimes you have to go with your gut as well. Elite studs and no brainers like David Johnson, Le’Veon Bell, and Antonio Brown for example, will be exempt from this list.

At the very end of the slide you will see my optimal lineups for both DraftKings and FanDuel.

Without further ado, let’s get it started.

Quarterbacks

Start of the Week: Russell Wilson ($6,900 DK/$8,000 FD) at Green Bay

The Seahawks are still searching for a strong ground game ever since losing Marshawn Lynch to retirement. Chris Carson may be the most promising back they have, but the search will continue through Week one as they rely on their pass game versus Green Bay. The Packers ranked 24th in fantasy pass defense last year, allowing just under 18 points per game to opposing quarterbacks.

This is the perfect game script for Russell Wilson fantasy owners, as it could easily turn into a high scoring affair with two elite quarterbacks on display.

Value Pick of the Week: Carson Wentz ($5,300 DK/$7,100 FD) at Washington

More from NFL Spin Zone

Carson Wentz finished as the QB24 last season, but keep in mind that his top wide receivers were Jordan Matthews, Nelson Agholor and Dorial Green-Beckham. The Eagles reloaded and added some weapons to their arsenal. The additions of Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith give Wentz a true number one receiver, as well as one of the more underrated deep threats in the game. Factor in Zach Ertz at tight end, along with Darren Sproles out of the backfield and you’ll see that the Eagles are now loaded with weapons.

With a full year under his belt, I’m expecting the second year quarterback to emerge into a top 12 fantasy quarterback. That starts in Week 1 against a Washington defense that ranked in the bottom half of fantasy points against to opposing quarterbacks in 2016.

Deep Sleeper: DeShone Kizer ($4,800 DK/$6,000 FD) vs. Pittsburgh

Going a bit against the grain with this one, but that’s what DFS is all about, finding the gems that no one else picked. This is definitely a high-risk play, going with a rookie quarterback in his first career start. However, there are some positives.

For starters, he is a dirt cheap option that allows you to beef up the rest of your roster. Secondly, Kizer has rushing ability and can make plays with his legs resulting in fantasy points potentially adding up rapidly. Lastly, he is playing at home and in a game where he will be passing a lot and playing versus soft coverages as the Browns are likely to be in catch up mode for most of the second half.

Best of the Rest:

– Ben Roethlisberger ($7,300 DK/$8,200 FD)
– Cam Newton ($7,100 DK/$7,900 FD)
– Carson Palmer $6,000 DK/$7,300 FD)
