2. Seattle’s September struggles linger

After Sunday’s game, the Seahawks are 6-5 in September games dating back to 2014. This is a team that was found a lot of success in those years but have established a precedent of starting the season slowly. Last season, Seattle only scored 15 points over their first two games. The Seahawks are only off to a slightly better start this season, scoring 21 points in their first two games.

More from Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks scored their first touchdown of the season with seven minutes left in the fourth quarter of Week 2. Going off of last season, Week 3 seems to be when Seattle finds their grove. In 2016, the Seahawks scored 37 points in their Week 3 contest against the 49ers which was over double their points they scored in their first two games.

It is certainly a strange trend, but the good news for Seattle fans is it happens every year and the Seahawks still find a way into the playoffs. We should start seeing the Seahawks pick up the pace more and the emergence of Carson will certainly help on the offensive side of the ball. Of course, every game counts in the NFL as these teams are not only looking to secure playoff spots but also looking to secure home-field advantage.

Either way, starting 1-1 is nothing new for the Seahawks in the month of September and they should reemerge as one of the top teams in the NFC soon.
