Bengals vs Packers: Preview, score prediction for Week 3
By Nick Sparrow
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers will be at Lambeau Field in Week 3 as the Cincinnati Bengals come to visit on Sunday. The Packers enter this game 1-1, coming off of a 34-23 loss to the Atlanta Falcons last Sunday night.
As for the Bengals, they have had a terrible start to the season, starting 0-2 and becoming the first team to not score a touchdown while opening the season with two-straight home games.
The Bengals have made the playoffs in five of the last six seasons. However, they need a win desperately if they hope to avoid missing the playoffs for the second consecutive season.
Keys to Victory
The Bengals will need a better performance out of quarterback Andy Dalton is they want any chance of winning this game. Dalton has struggled in his first two games of the season. In the first two weeks of the season, Dalton has thrown four interceptions and no touchdowns. In Cincinnati’s opening game against the Baltimore Ravens, Dalton had one of the worst performances in the history of the NFL.

- Pittsburgh Steelers rookie sleeper everyone should be talking about
- Anthony Richardson putting jaw-dropping talent on display immediately
- Denver Broncos’ stud wide receiver might be out for a while
- Washington Commanders: Three takeaways from win over Ravens
There are also reports that Dalton has lost the support of his teammates, as some players have spoken out for signing Colin Kaepernick. If Dalton cannot improve upon his play, the Bengals might be looking to bring in more competition soon.
The Packers need show that they can play at a high level from start to finish. Green Bay has struggled in the first half of games this season. In the first half of their two games this season Green Bay has been outscored, 27-7. However, in the second half of those games Green Bay has outscored their opponents 33-16. Against a team struggling as much as the Bengals are, there is no reason that the Packers shouldn’t have any trouble adjusting to this team at home.

Prediction
The Packers are one of the elite teams in the NFL and they are hosting a Bengals team that currently looks like they will be looking for a new quarterback and head coach soon. Green Bay has one of the best home-field advantages in the league when playing at Lambeau Field. If the Bengals cannot perform at home, I don’t see any way they elevate their play on the road at Lambeau.
Final Score: Green Bay Packers: 38, Cincinnati Bengals:12
