3. Can Trevor Siemian Lead the Broncos To Victory?

From the beginning of preseason up until now, Trevor Siemian has been on point. This year, in the first two games of the season, he has completed 65 percent of his passes while tossing six touchdowns. He only has two interceptions on the season.

Siemian has shown more confidence under center and he has been able to consistently connect with his receivers. He has taken a step forward in his development and, if he continues to improve his game, he could become one of the better quarterbacks in the league within a few years.

Even though, Buffalo statistically ranks as one of the top defenses in the league, they still haven’t played against a top flight receiving corps like the Broncos have. The combination of Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders will present a lot of issues for the Bills’ secondary. The Broncos’ wide receivers are very tough to cover and Siemian is starting to do a very good job at distributing the ball to the open wide receiver.

Last week, the Bills defense held Kelvin Benjamin to six catches for 77 yards and Devin Funchess for four catches and 68 yards. Between the two receivers, Buffalo’s defense allowed a 71.14 percent completion percentage.

When comparing talent, Denver’s Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders trumps the Carolina Panther’s wide receiver corps. There’s a chance that Siemian could have his way with Buffalo’s defense if Thomas and Sanders can manage to create separation from the defensive backs.

Siemian is a key player in this game, because his performance will dictate the team’s success. If he’s able to get the ball out and connect with his receivers then Denver will more than likely will be able to move the football with ease and come away with a victory. If he struggles, then it will be a long day for the Broncos.
