The injury bug has not been kind to the Steelers as they move into the fourth week of the season. Here’s updates on Pittsburgh’s injury front.

The Pittsburgh Steelers travel to Baltimore for a crucial matchup with the division rival Ravens. With both teams sitting at 2-1, the winner of this game will have first say in the race for the AFC North crown. The Ravens have seen the ugly side of injuries in losing pieces such as Danny Woodhead (hamstring) and Marshal Yanda (ankle) for long periods of time. More bad news struck Baltimore this week, as it was announced defensive tackle Brandon Williams will miss Sunday’s contest with a foot injury.

Although the Steelers have managed to keep their offensive stars out of harms way, the rest of the depth chart has not been as fortunate. Five players find themselves questionable heading into the winding hours until game time: safety Sean Davis (ankle), guard Ramon Foster (thumb), tackle Marcus Gilbert (hamstring), linebacker James Harrison (illness) and safety Mike Mitchell (hamstring).

Out of the above listed players, we at least know the status of one. Foster, who was a full participant on Friday, told Steelers.com “It’s Baltimore week” in response to a question regarding his status, re-assuring he would be able to suit up although still remaining listed as questionable.

Pittsburgh’s offensive line struggled with the absences of Foster and Gilbert, and look forward to the reemergence of two key pieces on the line of scrimmage on a defense that features Terrell Suggs and C.J. Mosley.

Despite the possibility of having lost both starting safeties for the game, the Steelers welcome back two key defensive pieces in rookie linebacker T.J. Watt and defensive end Stephon Tuitt. Tuitt, who injured his biceps in the early stages of Week 1, will provide a much-needed boost to a rushing defense that ranks 20th in the league.

Watt will also finds himself back on the field after a hamstring injury that caused him to miss Pittsburgh’s Week 3 loss in Chicago. The rookie will look to pick things up where they left off against Minnesota, totaling two sacks and an interception in the little action he’s seen. Anthony Chickillo will move back to his second-string position after filling in for Watt.

Besides the five players listed as questionable, the Steelers remain relatively healthy as a whole entering week four. Pittsburgh could have all starters in play for the first time in the 2017 season. Now the Steelers will look to utilize their healthy players and pick up momentum going forward, something they have yet to capture.
