Let’s take a look at which Broncos’ players made a significant impact against the Oakland Raiders by taking a look at the team’s snap counts

The Denver Broncos came away with a 16-10 victory at home against the Oakland Raiders in Week 4 last Sunday. This win gives the Broncos a 3-1 record, placing them second in the AFC West  behind the Kansas City Chiefs.

Analyzing the snap counts on a weekly basis can allow us to find trends on how the coaching staff likes to rotate their players. It’s a data set that provides a depiction on how players are used. Obviously, the more snaps a player plays, the more important they usually are to the team’s weekly game plan.

With that in mind, let’s see how the snaps were spread out by position against Oakland.

Quarterback

Trevor Siemian, 64 snaps, 100 percent market share

Like the previous three week, Siemian played 100 percent of the snaps. Unless he gets injured, he will continue playing all of the offensive snaps.

Jamaal Charles, 11 snaps, 17 percent market share

Andy Janovich, 11 snaps, 17 percent market share

Devontae Booker, 8 snaps, 12 percent market share

Nothing new here, Anderson is the team’s feature back, owning a 69 percent market share of the snaps out of the backfield. Booker is back from his injury and he was able to sneak away with eight snaps last week.

Demaryius Thomas, 56 snaps, 88 percent market share

Emanuel Sanders, 48 snaps, 75 percent market share

Bennie Fowler, 34 snaps, 53 percent market share

Jordan Taylor, 7 snaps, 11 percent market share

Isaiah McKenzie, 6 snaps, 9 percent market share

Thomas and Sanders are the team’s main two receivers and they will continue to receive the majority of the snaps unless they suffer an injury. Fowler has emerged as the team’s third receiver.

Tight End

Virgil Green, 42 snaps, 66 percent market share

A.J. Derby, 29 snaps, 45 percent market share

Jeff Heuerman, 17 snaps, 27 percent market share

Green led all tight ends in snaps with Derby checking in on two tight end sets. The snap share for the tight ends should continue to look similar too this going forward.

Offensive Line

Ronald Leary, 64 snaps, 100 percent market share

Garett Bolles, 64 snaps, 100 percent market share

Matt Paradis, 64 snaps, 100 percent market share

Menelik Watson, 63 snaps, 98 percent market share

Allen Barbre, 37 snaps, 58 percent market share

Leary, Bolles, Paradis and Watson played the entire game with Barbre and Garcia rotating at guard. Unless the Broncos decide to switch things up after the bye week, this should be their setup at offensive line going forward.
