2. The Jets are for real

Coming into the 2017 season, the word tank was all the rage when describing what the Jets front office was doing from the local and national media. The Jets weren’t expected to be able to compete because of the perceived lack of talent. However, they’re beginning to prove the doubters wrong.

More from New York Jets

Entering this game, many pundits were clamoring for the Jets to show them something. They didn’t see enough, because their previous three opponents were the inferior Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins. The fact that the they overcame adversity in the previous two games and destroyed the Dolphins wasn’t enough.

Even though the game ended in a loss, the Jets showed the rest of the league that they will not only fight their way through every game, but they will be in every game to the bitter end. Their opponents can’t expect this team to roll over and die, nor can they expect to just run over this team.

The Jets defense will step up to the call when they are needed, and the offense will scratch and claw for as many points as they can get. No matter what the final outcome, the Jets will be a team to be reckoned with for the rest of the season.
