North Carolina Tar Heels at No. 14 Virginia Tech Hokies (3:30 p.m. ET, ESPN 2)

Again, this isn’t another game that will jump off the schedule, but it does have players who are going to be known or are already known by those who live for the NFL Draft and want to see their teams build a winner. That brings us to the North Carolina at Virginia Tech game on ESPN 2 this Saturday, and it is a game that brings great intrigue for the fact VT has cornerback Adonis Alexander linebacker Tremaine Edmunds.

In a closer look at Edmunds this season, he’s put up some nice numbers that jump off the page because in each game this season he’s totaled no less than six tackles in a game. Against Clemson a couple weeks ago, Edmunds totaled nine tackles (two solo). For the season, the Virginia Tech linebacker has also collected 1.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.

Alexander had totaled four tackles the past two games, and in the season opener, he had a nine-tackle game against West Virginia. He’s also recorded one sack (vs. Clemson). In some mock drafts this season, Alexander and Edmunds have both been pegged as first-round choices, and both are well on their way to playing on Sundays, whether they end up being picked in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft or in a later round.
