2017 NFL Picks, score predictions for Week 9
Denver Broncos (3-4) at Philadelphia Eagles (7-1)
After an outstanding start to their season, the Denver Broncos have crumbled over the last few weeks. They’re stuck in a three-game losing streak, having dropped the trio of contests in rather pathetic fashion. So why would we expect them to turn it around against the NFL’s hottest team?
Sure, you can try to say that their outstanding pass defense is going to keep Carson Wentz in check. Even if that was slightly the case, it’s not like the Denver offense has done much to keep things interesting on the scoreboard. Between Weeks 6 and 7, they managed only10 total points against teams with a combined record of 4-11.
Then, in Week 8, the Broncos turned the ball over five times to drop another big game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Nothing is going this team’s way right now, and I can’t imagine that’ll change anytime soon.
The Eagles will welcome them into town, make just enough defensive plays to secure the win, and send Denver back to the plane with another loss on their record. This may be the final straw for the Broncos, who are quickly watching their playoff hopes vanish.
Prediction: Eagles win 23-17
