3. David Irving shows Chiefs they messed up

Athletes are prideful people. After serving a four game suspension to start the 2016 NFL season, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was intent on destroying the league and forcing the commissioner of the NFL to hand him the Lombardi Trophy. While Brady is one of the best athletes of all-time, and he doesn’t need that extra fuel, you better watch out when he gets it.

On a much smaller scale, no player likes to be dissed by any team. David Irving for example was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Chiefs, but he was later cut and placed on their practice squad. Dallas took advantage of their mistake and gave him a home, where he’s now flourishing.

Like Brady’s desire to embarrass the league, Irving will have some extra motivation on Sunday to stick it to the team that told him he wasn’t good enough. Now, that could mean he either gets a dumb tattoo of a literal chip on his shoulder like his teammate cornerback Anthony Brown did, or he could just have a really good game.

We’ll go with the later on this one and predict that Irving continues his breakout season with a couple more eye-popping plays that help the defense out. Put him down for one more sack and either a forced fumble, or a swatted pass that lands in a defenders hands again.
