3. Redskins commit to run
Believe it not, you can actually run on the Seahawks. Unfortunately, the Redskins may not have the personnel to make a difference on the ground. Rob Kelley will play, but outside of the first half against the Rams in Week 2, he’s either been ineffective or injured. Making matters worse, the Redskins were forced to cut Mack Brown last week due to the depth issues along the offensive line.

Rookie Samaje Perine hasn’t exactly shined in his opportunities either. Perine didn’t carry the ball last week. Washington head coach Jay Gruden should give the Seahawks a mix of Kelley, Perine and third-down stud Chris Thompson until one establishes himself. Thompson is going to get his touches in both the running game and the passing game.
The biggest question for Washington’s offense outside of the O-line issues is how many tight ends can play? Niles Paul went down with a concussion last week, while Jordan Reed pulled a hamstring. Paul looks more likely to play than Reed this week despite how devastating his injury looked. This means rookie Jeremy Sprinkle will likely be active this Sunday.
Will Washington have success on the ground? That’s to be determined. However, it won’t be due to a lack of effort this weekend.
