NFL 2017: 5 Teams on upset alert in Week 10
By Dan Parzych
5. Detroit Lions
After three tough losses in a row to teams that would be in the playoffs if the regular season ended today, the Detroit Lions were finally able to get back on track Monday night against the Green Bay Packers, although the outcome could have been much different with a healthy Aaron Rodgers. But even if Rodgers was healthy enough to play, there’s no telling if the Packers would have ended up winning anyway since Matthew Stafford torched the defense throughout the entire game.

Throughout his career, Stafford has always been the kind of quarterback who makes the players around him better, and even though Sunday’s game against the winless Cleveland Browns seems like an easy win, nothing is guaranteed in the NFL, especially when it involves the Lions. If anything, Detroit faces the additional pressure of making sure they don’t end up being the ones that allow Cleveland to earn that first victory of the 2017 season.
At least with Stafford’s competitive fire, the Lions quarterback will do everything in his power to make sure that doesn’t happen. Less than a week after earning a tough win on the road in Lambeau, defeating the Browns at home shouldn’t be that difficult, right?
