New Orleans Saints: 3 Bold predictions vs. Bills in Week 10
3. Ted Ginn Jr.’s role in the offense expands
For the past few weeks, it seems like Ted Ginn Jr. hasn’t been utilized in the offense. He’s mostly been relegated to catching punts or kickoffs. That hasn’t always worked in his favor, but more on that later. As for his role as WR2, Ginn has yet to truly break out, but last week was a good indication of what’s to come.

This week, I predict Ginn will have a breakout game and be Drew Brees top target. It’s not an easy feat, but his chemistry with Brees is getting better so it’s only a matter of time. After nine weeks of playing together though, they have started to mesh and connect including on a touchdown pass last week.
As for his role as punt returner, the Saints are going to relegate him to just a wide receiver and keep him in a more contained role. It’s going to work better for the team and open the door for Ginn to be more productive. With Snead out of the picture, for now, Ginn has to step up and take the opportunity he has now.
It’s been a rocky road for Ginn in New Orleans, but with his performance last week, there’s no telling how much damage he can do.
