Week 10 of Sunday Night Football features one team with no quarterback issues, while the other can’t seem to have consistency at the position this season.

As the Denver Broncos are set to host the New England Patriots in Week 10 of Sunday Night Football, a win is important to both teams, but for the Broncos they can ill-afford to lose many more games if they want to make a return to the playoffs this season.

Denver enters the game at 3-5 overall, and even though they began the season strong, that hasn’t been the case as of late. They aren’t ranked in the top 10 in some major offensive categories, including points per game (18.8) and total offensive yards per game (327.2).

Things are getting so complicated for the Broncos that in Week 9 against the Philadelphia Eagles they started Brock Osweiler over Trevor Siemian at quarterback. Osweiler competed 50 percent of his passes in the 51-23 loss, including throwing two interceptions, one touchdown and was sacked three times.

Denver’s defense does well most of the time by allowing just 280.8 yards per game, along with allowing 192.4 passing yards per game and 88.4 rushing yards per game, all Top 5 rankings in the league thus far this season.

The Broncos defense will need to have those type of numbers against the likes of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady to be competitive. New England’s quarterback has the Patriots (6-2) in first place of the AFC East, ranking first in total offensive yards per game (411.1) and passing yards per game (302.1).

Unlike the Broncos where the defense is the strong suite, the Patriots are having issues on that side of the ball, allowing nearly 300 yards of passing offense per game (295) and in terms of total offense allowed per game they last in the league at 417 yards per game.
