5. Sammy Watkins

Sammy Watkins has been the one missing man in this league top Rams offense. They are the highest scoring team in the NFL, and have phenomenal balance with Jared Goff and Todd Gurley. The most amazing part is they still have not really seen the best of Watkins. He’s had that breakout game, but nothing even close to consistency.

The Vikings are going to be one of the tougher defenses they play all year, and the Rams are going to need their play makers more than ever. They are going to need that deep threat to take defenders out of the box, otherwise they could shut down Gurley, and kill the rest of the offense.

These are the two teams that are right behind the Eagles in the standings, but this loss hurts either of them in multiple ways. They fall further behind, and lose a potential tie breaker, which is vital in such a close race. If Watkins can step up and blow the top off the Vikings defense, then the Rams should have no problem scoring.

People are still questioning wherther or not these Rams are legitimate, and if they can keep up the scoring pace. If Watkins steps up, however, then this offense could continue to improve and become as dominant as anyone in the league.
