3. Falcons offense was incredible on third-down

In a game against the Seahawks, especially in CenturyLink Field, converting on third-down is extremely crucial. Not only does it keep the chains moving, but it quiets the fans in the stands and gives the offense an opportunity to get the right calls into the huddle. Needless to say, Atlanta’s third-down conversion rate on Monday night was incredible, giving them a much-needed win over the Seahawks.

According to ESPN, the Falcons offense went 9-of-14 on third down, which is a phenomenal 64 percent. Not to mention, their offensive line only gave up one sack against Seattle, which came on Atlanta’s final drive of the game.

For the Falcons and their fans alike, this type of offensive performance, on the road, should give everyone confidence heading into the final six weeks of the season. For an offense that struggled to execute early in the year, it sure looked like they were on the same page on Monday night. That said, everyone needs to give Steve Sarkisian some respect for his play-calling in Week 11 as well.

When you consider they were playing without starting running back Devonta Freeman, you’ll quickly realize how impressive this road win truly was.
