Jacksonville Jaguars: Analyzing the last six games of 2017
By Larry Brake
The Jacksonville Jaguars have six games left to play in the regular season. How each game could play out?
Currently, the Jacksonville Jaguars have a 7-3 record. They are standing alone in first place in the AFC South division. Should nothing dramatic happens, the Jaguars will make the playoffs.
There are six games left to play in the regular season. Jacksonville plays Arizona on the road and then has three consecutive home games before being on the road for the final two. Three of the final six games are divisional opponents and two are in Jacksonville.
Coincidentally or not, Jacksonville will play against three NFC West teams. Jacksonville lost to the NFC West’s top team, the Los Angeles Rams, in October. Two of the remain NFC West teams have losing records and have been outscored by over 70 points.
Since the Jaguars control their destiny, they can not afford to overlook anybody. Because of their defense, Jacksonville is playing at a very high level. They need to take it one game at a time because the season is a marathon not a sprint.
So, how do the Jaguars matchup with their next six opponents?

First, Jacksonville travels to Arizona. The Jaguars should be able to impose their will on the Arizona Cardinals. Hopefully there will be plenty of sacks and picks to guide the Jaguars to their fifth consecutive victory.
Indianapolis is coming to town in December’s first week. Remember, Jacksonville shutout Indianapolis 27-0 in October. This game should be a mismatch once again however it’s the type of game that being careless and unmotivated will lose the game for you. Jaguars must hang half a hundred on Indianapolis and shut them out, once again.
The Seattle Seahawks are next on the schedule in Jacksonville. Although Seattle has had a few serious season ending injuries, they are very capable of winning. Blake Bortles must prove that he is capable of leading Jacksonville into a deep playoff run by winning this game. Bortles, not the defense, has to dictate the game via the running game and passing game. Seattle just might win this game, lets see how it plays out.
Houston comes to play the last regular season game at EverBank Field. Many thought Deshaun Watson would ignite the Houston Texans playoff run. Sadly, Watson joins the other Texans with a season ending injury. Jacksonville has to play smart and steady in winning this game.
Jacksonville will play the woeful San Francisco Forty-niners out west. This game should be another road blow out victory for the Jaguars. The defense has the opportunity to pad their already historic statistics. Jacksonville can name the score here but traveling west has meant trouble in years past.

The battle to settle it all happens in Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans on the road. Tennessee went into EverBank and left with a rather easy win in Week 2. There’s no reason to believe anything different happens but Jacksonville has played better on the road.
Jacksonville should finish the last six games by winning four of them. They should finish with an 11-5 record and have a Wild Card playoff spot. Then all bets are off and anything is possible. Just getting in the playoffs makes 2017 a great season.
