Running Backs

Start

Samaje Perine, Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys – Over the last two games Perine has averaged 25.5 touches and 128 total yards. This week he faces a Cowboys team and defense who has fallen apart. Volume + good matchup = must start.

Adrian Peterson, Arizona Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Rams – Since Week 8, Peterson has averaged 25 touches and 87 total yards per game. It’s true his yards per touch (3.47) hasn’t been pretty but I expect those numbers to increase against a Rams defense who rank 27th in rushing defense. Volume + good matchup = must start.

Sit

Jay Ajayi, Philadelphia Eagles vs. Seattle Seahawks –  Since joining the Eagles in Week 9, Ajayi has averaged 70 yards per game which is really good considering he has only averaged seven touches per game. Yet, a guy who is only averaging seven touches per game makes him difficult to trust in a tough matchup.

Ameer Abdullah, Detroit Lions vs. Baltimore Ravens – In three out of his last six games, Abdullah has provided owners with 7.3 or less PPR points. In the other three games, he never eclipsed 12.5 PPR points. With two of his three best games coming in Week 4 and before, Abdullah is unstartable in Week 13.
