3. Saints pick off Cam Newton 2+ times

The Saints defense is one of the best units in the league. Even with some injuries to their dominant players, they’re still producing. Just last week against the Rams, they picked off Goff after three-straight perfect games. They also sacked him four times in their 26-20 loss, but proved they’re still a force.

Looking back at their Week 3 meeting with Carolina, they were on fire. They picked off Newton three times, sacked him four times and only allowed him to rush for a touchdown. Stifling the run and stopping the pass was great, but the interceptions shut the door. That’s why I predict the Saints will pick off Newton at least twice.

Clearly, they didn’t have a problem in their last meeting. Newton has been productive in the past few weeks, but still has a 14-11 TD-INT ratio. Going against the Saints defense for the second time, even a banged version, is a tough challenge.

As for the Saints, you can never count out anyone on their roster. Guys known for getting sacks like Sheldon Rankins and Cameron Jordan have both registered interceptionss this season. Even with the loss of Lattimore, the Saints D is still dominant and will keep Newton on his toes.
