1. The game will be close, but the Saints will get the W

This will be the first meeting of the Saints and the Falcons this season. Both have seen tremendous success with very little failure. It’s such an anticipated matchup because both teams are riding such highs. Despite the Falcons loss to the Vikings and the Saints loss to the Rams, they are some of the most dominant and powerful teams in the NFC.

With a Thursday Night game ahead of them, it’s hard to predict who will be victorious. Even with the Saints shortcomings, they’re handling adversity and making plays when they need to but so are the Falcons. I predict the Saints will be victorious, but the game will be close and will full of challenges for both sides.

The Saints haven’t faced the Falcons since January. The Saints only won by a field goal and this game could be just as close. As for a score prediction, I see the Saints putting 31 points to the Falcons’ 28 points. Then again, it might even be closer than that.

Everything in this game relies heavily on the matchups. Can the Falcons D keep up with Ingram and Kamara? Can the Saints D shut down Matt Ryan and Julio Jones? Will the Saints passing game improve or will they rely on solely their run game? For the Falcons, will Matt Ryan put up more than 200 yards and will their offense get back to who they were before the Vikings?
