2. Kamara and Ingram shred the Falcons D

Each week, Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara show why they’re one of the best two-back systems in the NFL. They outdo themselves and even in their recent loss, they still made a difference. It’s hard to believe the Saints planned on keeping Kamara as just an option at the back end.

More from New Orleans Saints

A big challenge for them this week will be the Falcons run defense. They have been one of the top in the league, shutting down Dallas, Tampa Bay, Carolina and Detroit. They have yet to truly find a threat as big or as powerful as Ingram and Kamara.

That’s why I predict Ingram and Kamara will have a day against the Falcons. Even on an off day, the duo has been productive and made up for the Saints lack of a passing game. It will be tough to get yards, but the Saints O-line is great at opening holes and allowing the two to pick up as many yards as possible.

The Falcons have one of the best pass rush defenses in the league so getting the run game going will be the key to victory. Ingram is averaging 5.1 yards a carry while Kamara is averaging 7.0 yards per carry. The Saints will likely rely on the two to pick up key first downs and scoring so it’s going to be a big night for them.
