2. Keenan Allen will be held under 100 receiving yards

One of the biggest reasons why the Chargers have been so successful over the last month, has been because of Keenan Allen and his connection with Philip Rivers. We knew Allen was capable of having big games, but little did we know he would catch fire at the most important part of the season.

Not to mention, with Los Angeles now tied for first place in the AFC West alongside the Chiefs and Raiders, you can expect Allen to take his game to another level. However, it just may not show up in the stat-line for Week 14.

More than likely, Redskins cornerback Josh Norman will have the pleasure of competing against Allen for the entire afternoon. While the Chargers receiver will surely win some of those battles, I believe Allen will be held to under 100 receiving yards for the first time in four weeks.

At the same time, offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt will try and get Allen lined up in the slot, where I believe he will have the most success on Sunday afternoon. It’s not that Allen can’t go toe-to-toe with one of the NFL’s best defensive backs, but Allen has actually been wildly successful playing inside this year.

Regardless, if Allen is indeed held in check in Week 14, expect another Los Angeles receiver to pick up his production and have a huge game against the Redskins.
