With Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz reportedly out with a torn ACL, here are three replacement options for fantasy football owners.

The Philadelphia Eagles clinched the NFC East and are officially returning to the playoffs for the first time in four years. However, their success in the remainder of the season and postseason is potentially in jeopardy as quarterback Carson Wentz may be out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL.

The injury will come as a major blow to the team and certainly be devastating to Wentz, who’s had a phenomenal second year in the NFL, a campaign that’s put him in the talks for NFL MVP.

It will also be dissapointing for fantasy football owners relying on Wentz to carry them to a championship. Now, Wentz’s health is most important so we wish him a speedy and full recovery but should he miss significant time, here are some replacement options to consider.

1. Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, San Francisco 49ers

Jimmy Garoppolo has only scored once since he’s become the starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, but he’s thrown for 645 yards in the past three games (two starts), including for 334 yards and a touchdown on the road against the Houston Texans in Week 14. He’s on the rise and looks primed to continue his upward trend and score more with a favorable matchup against the 22nd-ranked Tennessee Titans passing defense in Week 15.

2. Blake Bortles, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars

It’s been a rollercoaster of a season for Blake Bortles. In Week 1, he threw for just 125 yards and one touchdown against the Houston Texans. In Week 5, he threw for a dismal 95 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. However, Bortles has thrown for 577 yards and four touchdowns to just one interception in Weeks 13 and 14 and is coming off of a big win over the Seattle Seahawks and their dominant defense. The momentum from this winning streak and his search for redemption from a poor Week 1 showing against the Texans should further propel Bortles to victory and help your fantasy team as well.

3. Nick Foles, QB, Philadelphia Eagles

We didn’t see much from Nick Foles as he took over for Carson Wentz in the third quarter against the Los Angeles Rams. And he has been inconsistent and had trouble with ball security in his NFL career thus far. However, he did complete 60 percent of his passes when he stepped into the game against a top-ten ranked Rams defense. Furthermore, with the strong receiving corps that Foles has, he should be able to put up decent numbers and have a solid performance. So, if you’re unable to pickup players like Garoppolo or Bortles this season, get Foles.
