2. Demarcus Lawrence will add to sack numbers

It may not sound like the boldest of predictions, but saying Demarcus Lawrence will add to his overall sack numbers is a tough prediction to make. In the past four games, Lawrence — who has 13.5 sacks this season — has collected just two sacks, with both of those coming against the Washington Redskins in Week 13.

Before the bye week in Week 6, Lawrence collected most of his sacks in the first five games, gaining 8.5 of his total sacks in that time frame. Since Week 7 (eight games), Lawrence has five sacks, and in those eight games four times he’s been held sackless, including last week against the New York Giants.

The NFL is a long season, and the fact the defensive line didn’t have David Irving on the inside had to have some effect on how the Giants focused on Lawrence. Also, not having Sean Lee at linebacker behind him will take its toll on a defense end too.

Lawrence is still one of the top pass rushers in the NFL, and his numbers show that this season. He will get back on track and sack Derek Carr at least once, possibly more in Week 15, and that will be a tough task with the Raiders offense line allowing just 21 sacks this season.
