Trade Eli Manning to the Minnesota Vikings

The site Spotrac estimates the Vikings cap space at $60 million, and they’re a quarterback away from being a Super Bowl contender. Eli Manning may be at the end of his career, but he still has a little left in the tank.

The way the Giants handled Manning and his benching this season may lead him to want out of New York, but that doesn’t mean he also doesn’t have a place in his heart that will make him want to play his entire career with Big Blue. The Giants will have to convince him to waive his full not trade clause so they can trade him.

He loves the Giants, as Peter Schwartz told Mike Francesa on WFAN back in September. He told Francesa this:

So, he may choose retirement over waiving the no-trade clause. That said, his love for the Giants may lead him to make a decision that’s good for the Giants, and that’s waiving his no trade clause. If the Giants could convince Manning to do that, it would be the first big step.

The next step would be his successor.
