1. The Eagles offense needs to put up points

Philadelphia’s offense might have done just enough to get the job done on Saturday but it would certainly nice if the Eagles could score a little more to relieve some pressure off their defense. This an Eagles team that still finished the season ranked third in points scored despite averaging just 17.6 points per game in the three games Foles started to finish the season.

The Falcons finished the season ranked eighth in points allowed but potential matchups against the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars, who finished ranked first and second respectively, should cause some concern for an offense that is struggling to find the end zone.

The good news for Eagles fans is that the team has the pieces needed for a high-production offense. They are just still looking for their rhythm with Foles under center. LeGarrette Blount is just one season removed from leading the entire league in touchdowns and scored Philly’s only touchdown of the day on Saturday.

Head coach Doug Pederson needs to rely more on the talent they have in the backfield, with the power of Blount or playmaking of Jay Ajayi who seemed to be completely forgotten during whole drives for the Eagles on Saturday. No matter what though, this needs to be the Eagles focus this week as it seems impossible 15 points will be enough to beat the Vikings or Saints next week.
