Jaguars vs. Patriots live stream: Watch 2018 AFC Championship online
The New England Patriots face the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2018 AFC Championship Game on Sunday, Jan. 21. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
For an unprecedented seventh consecutive year, the New England Patriots have reached the conference championship round. That thanks to a 35-14 win over the visiting Tennessee Titans in the divisional playoffs. Bill Belichick’s club will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2018 AFC Championship Game, fresh off their 45-42 upset of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Can the Patriots make it back to the Big Game for the third time in four years and the eighth time since 2001?
It may surprise some to know that this is the fifth playoff meeting between the Jaguars and Patriots. New England has prevailed in three of those postseason encounters, including a 31-20 victory in the 2007 NFC Divisional Playoffs at Foxborough when these teams last met in the postseason. Including playoffs, the Jaguars own a 0-7 lifetime road record in this series.
Perhaps the wild card in this AFC title tilt is the presence of Jacksonville Jaguars’ executive vice president of football operations Tom Coughlin. As head coach of the New York Giants, he certainly had his share of success against the New England Patriots. And this Jaguars’ defense does bear some resemblance to those pass-rushing squads that came up big in Super Bowls XLII and XLIV.
