7. New England Patriots: Pick No. 31

For reasons that shouldn’t need to be explained, someone like Jackson will never take the starting job of a future Hall of Famer like Tom Brady, no matter how hard they try. But after sending Jimmy Garoppolo to the San Francisco 49ers in the middle of last season, the New England Patriots will need to address their need at the quarterback position for when the time does come for Brady to call it a career, even if he still seems capable of playing like a MVP for a few more years.

It truly is amazing to see Brady continue to shred opponents the way he does at his age, and the scary thing to consider about his MVP campaign from this past season is how he managed to do so without arguably his favorite target in Julian Edelman. Even if Jackson were to ride the bench for a few years until Brady decided to call it a career, at least the youngster would also benefit from being able to learn from a veteran quarterback who will be considered one of the best to ever play the game of football.

Not to mention, Bill Belichick has always been the type of head coach who gets the best out of his players, no matter what the position. So with Jackson, this would almost seem like a dream scenario, even if it meant having to be patient to wait for his turn to start.
