Christian is a natural pass protector who kick slides extremely well. He has elite length at the position which allows him to keep opposing rushers away from his body at the point of attack. Christian shows the ability to control opposing speed rushers on the outside, consistently allowing them to beat themselves by riding them all the way outside past the quarterback. Make no mistake about it, Christian is a strong pass protector with elite left tackle upside at the next level.
The former basketball star has a ton of natural ability that makes him an extremely intriguing player at the next level. However, at 298 pounds, Christian could certainly stand to fill out his frame a bit. He moves extremely well for the position, but Christian can be dominated by power at times. He shines as a run blocker when he is on the move, but can really struggle when asked to simply block a powerful run defender on the defensive line.
Christian is not a perfect prospect. He needs to work on some technique and fill out his frame a bit in order to reach his true potential at the next level. That being said, he is a legitimate offensive tackle prospect with a lot of long-term upside. Christian may not be able to immediately come in and contribute, but there is a lot to like about his game. Snagging him in the fourth round is a move that could hit in a big way down the line.
