With the Cleveland Browns trading away all the pics from their former front office, it would be smart of the Dallas Cowboys to call about Corey Coleman

Friday became all about the Cleveland Browns. The franchise that went 0-16 started making a lot of trades as new general manager John Dorsey starting making moves to put his stamp on the roster. he was at it again on Saturday and has gotten rid of a couple of the picks mad by the previous regime.

With the fire sale going on, it would be a good time for the receiver-needy Dallas Cowboys to call about wide receiver Corey Coleman.

Cleveland added quarterback Tyrod Taylor from the Buffalo Bills, wide receiver Jarvis Landry from the Miami Dolphins and defensive back Damarious Randall from the Green Bay Packers. In the Randall trade they sent former second-round pick DeShone Kizer to Green Bay and then they sent former first-round pick Danny Shelton to the New England Patriots.

When Dorsey arrived in Cleveland he made a comment about the team not drafting real players prior to his arrival. He tried to go back on that statement, but this weekend showed the following quote was how he really felt.

"“You know what? You’ve got to get (Hue Jackson) players,” Dorsey said via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. “And you know what? I’ll come straight out with it. The guys who were here before, that system, they didn’t get real players.”"

With the team apparently ready to make moves, the Cowboys need to strike and add an element to their team they don’t currently have — speed. Coleman is an absolute burner that was a highlight waiting to happen for Baylor. Since becoming a first-round pick of the Browns though, he’s just been unlucky.

In his two seasons, he has suffered two broken hands which have limited him to 19 games to this point. He also has yet to consistently show he can be a downfield threat, but that could be due to the inconsistent play under center and his inability to stay healthy.

For Dallas, it would make sense to get a guy who can at least threaten defenses with his speed. As of now they have Dez Bryant as their No. 1 target, but there’s questions about his status going forward. Should they keep him on the roster, Coleman would help take pressure off him.

Dallas owns 10 picks in the upcoming draft and using one to get a player like Coleman would be brilliant. Especially if they can get a great deal like the Patriots did for Shelton. That deal included Shelton and a fifth-round pick going to New England in exchange for a third-round selection.
