Bennie Logan, DT, Kansas City Chiefs

It wasn’t long ago Bennie Logan looked like one of the league’s top up-and-coming nose tackles. Then he bailed on the Philadelphia Eagles, following the money to a new contract with the Kansas City Chiefs.

While his first (and possibly only) year in Kansas City wasn’t horrible, he didn’t quite live up to expectations. Now back on the open market, he’s looking for an opportunity to prove he can still be an impact playmaker against the run. In my opinion, though, he’s going to have to settle for a rotational role.

As it so happens, the Packers could use some depth at nose tackle behind Kenny Clark. They don’t currently boast anyone of significance behind their starter, necessitating a move. Logan may cost more than Green Bay probably wants to spend, but it’s no guarantee after a down year with the Chiefs. If he’s forced to take a discounted deal to rehab his value, the Packers could be players.

Logan is an impact defensive tackle when he’s on top of his game. He’d be a welcomed addition in Green Bay who could help strengthen one of the NFL’s most underwhelming defenses of 2017.
