Round 1: Isaiah Wynn, OL, Georgia

Isaiah Wynn is the most logical choice in the first round. Since Jacksonville is committing to becoming a power run team, Wynn is the next link. WalterFootball.com reports this about Wynn’s presence on the football field:

"Wynn impressed scouts in 2017 as an excellent run blocker for the Bulldogs. He blocks with aggression and has a temperament that is hard to find in college blockers. In pass protection, Wynn was very dependable as well… Because he is shorter and doesn’t have ideal length, most sources think that Wynn could move to guard or center in the NFL."

Wynn stands 6-2, weighing 308 pounds. He similar to starting right guard A.J. Cann, physically. Most of all, his versatility is very appealing to Jacksonville.

Remember, last summer in training camp, each lineman took snaps at other positions due to the risk of injuries. Seems like each starting lineman missed a game or two in 2017. Wynn’s ability to play, tackle, guard or center would allow the Jaguars to be creative in their blocking scheme.

The line play is where the offensive success begins. Controlling the pass rush will be to Bortles’ benefit, as well. Although Jacksonville led the NFL in rushing, last season, expect the Jaguars to continually build the offensive line to get better.
