Chubb could’ve come out in the 2017 NFL Draft and been one of the top players at his position. However, he went back to college and improved areas that he needed in, and he’s become not only one of the best at his position in the draft, but one of the best overall players.

When it comes to production, he showed he could duplicate it. That shows scouts the numbers weren’t just a fluke. He produced double-digit sacks and tackles for loss in back-to-back seasons at NC State. He also had over 50 total tackles in three seasons as a starter.

When it comes to his skills, Chubb has everything you look for in the guy who’s going to set the edge in a 3-4 defense. He’s strong, quick, and has consistent motor. His tape and production are a clear match. So, you should set the bar high in your expectations for him.

The one question is, can he move from 4-3 defensive end to 3-4 outside linebacker? The answer to that is…probably. We’ve seen players do it in the past and be successful. He has the skills to do it, but changing from a down lineman to a standing linebacker changes the mindset of how to attack. So it would take some time to get used to it. That said, he can, and will if the Giants take him here.
