5. New England Patriots

If there was ever a team with a proven ability to maximize the talents of a veteran player, it’s the New England Patriots. While Dez Bryant isn’t Randy Moss, they were able to do so with him in the late 2000s. And with Tom Brady not showing any signs of slowing up just yet, being able to add Bryant to the Patriots offense seems like a surefire way for Bill Belichick and company to make yet another run at a Super Bowl.

4. Arizona Cardinals

This is most certainly a period of transition for the Arizona Cardinals. Their quarterback, Sam Bradford, is signed to just a one-year deal after the retirement of Carson Palmer. What’s more, Bruce Arians retired as head coach and Larry Fitzgerald may soon follow. Even still, trying to make a run with Bradford at the helm seems possible, and pairing Bryant on the outside with Fitzgerald in a depleted receiving corps is, at the very least, enticing.

3. Baltimore Ravens

We’ve seen this story before from the Baltimore Ravens in the past, and even so this offseason. They signed Michael Crabtree following his release in Oakland, and their encore could well be to do the same with Bryant. This is an organization that has an affinity for bringing in veteran skill position players, and has actually had success using said methodology. Thus, Bryant landing in Baltimore appears sensible.

2. San Francisco 49ers

Many expected the San Francisco 49ers to heavily pursue players like Allen Robinson and/or Sammy Watkins in free agency, but they apparently didn’t. Having said that, they still need to beef up a receiving corps that features just Pierre Garçon and Marquise Goodwin at the top of the depth chart right now. Bryant would give them a big-body receiver that they currently lack to attack the red zone with. He could be a dangerous weapon again paired with Jimmy Garoppolo in Kyle Shanahan’s offense.

1. Green Bay Packers

To me, the Green Bay Packers make the most sense for Dez Bryant. After releasing Jordy Nelson this offseason, the receiving corps in Green Bay appears to be lacking at least slightly. Yes, Davante Adams is a stud, but adding Bryant to Aaron Rodgers’ arsenal of weapons would make this offense immensely dangerous. Subsequently, if they can get the price right, Bryant heading to play his home games in Lambeau would make sense for all involved.
